The High Street is a familiar place, snaking through the town centre; a valley of bollards, benches and big brand names.

But what histories lie behind the concrete thoroughfare? Who was Mr Boot? And Mr Smith? Who is Claire? And when did she get so into accessories?

Award winning Inspector Sands take us on a witty and surprising tour of Woolwich High Street to reveal the secret lives that lie just beneath its surface.
