Opening the Festival, Wired Aerial Theatre, UK masters of bungee assisted aerial dance, directed by Australia’s Nigel Jamieson, create an exceptional piece of epic outdoor storytelling on a vast 12m square screen high in the sky.

As governments fail to come to grips with climate change the world slides, literally, towards catastrophe. Conceived as a real life disaster movie in the sky, this spectacular production delivers one breathtaking image after another.

Running for two consecutive nights in the heart of Royal Greenwich, where the Prime Meridian straddles the planet, this extraordinary show’s messages and staging will have particular power and resonance at GDIF.

Watch a taster video of the show featuring some exclusive insights into the production by Nigel Jamieson, Writer & Director of As The World Tipped and Wendy Hesketh-Ogilvie, Artistic Director of Wired Aerial Theatre.
