Description:
Greenwich Fair Voices takes its inspiration from the rambunctious Greenwich Fair of the 1830's. Map toting volunteers will supply you with free noses and much more - they have researched this uproarious event, home to travelling menageries, dancing booths, puppet shows and melodramatic theatrical performances and are primed to tell stories about the people of Greenwich Fair and the entertainments they enjoyed when it was a Londoner's most outrageous holiday destination.
Come to the information point at Greenwich Market to find out more.
With thanks to Horatio Blood. Greenwich Fair Voices is Heritage Lottery funded.
