The rediscovered Insidian line, dug in the mid 18th Century as the Prime Meridian was established in Greenwich, will be temporarily re-opened to visitors during Greenwich Fair. This rickety old lift shaft takes you hundreds of feet down towards the centre of the earth and is an experience suited only to the most adventurous and bold amongst us.
Not suitable for explorers under 7 years old, nor those prone to claustrophobia or vertigo.
Access for wheelchairs, or for those who would like a quieter/assisted experience for access reasons, will be the last scheduled descents of the day. Times will be published here soon.
BSL interpreters are on site on Sunday 25 June.
Please request BSL from the Info Point in Greenwich Park (near the General Wolfe statue) for The Insidian between 3.45pm-5.45pm.
