‘A big, ambitious and clever promenade dance show.’
Tilted Productions’ promenade piece BELONGING(s) subtly provokes thoughts on migration, the notion of belonging and the fleeting nature of what surrounds us. Different in each place and responding to its environment, the piece turns local spaces into illusionary worlds.
Created by Maresa von Stockert in collaboration with an intergenerational cast of 8 performers, BELONGING(s) combines contemporary dance, physical theatre and an integral use of objects and locality.
The piece unfolds in several scenes, each set in a different location. Led on a journey from one site to the next, audiences encounter pop up performance vignettes and installations created with, and performed by people from the local community.
