27 June 2015
Presented by Southpaw Dance Company

Programme: Greenwich Fair

Event information:

Type: Dance, Theatre

Duration: Runs approx 40 mins

This dramatic and bewitching dance theatre production is set in a fairground and performed around a fully functioning merry go round. As the fair shuts down an edgy story unfolds of exhilarating private celebrations and personal tragedies within a close knit community of people. The performers use the revolving carousel to flip, roll, dive and spin to an eclectic Balkan and Gypsy influenced score. What wonders will the magic of the night bring and what secrets will be revealed?

Commissioned by Without Walls and Stockton International Riverside Festival. Co-commissioned by SO Festival, Skegness and Appetite, Stoke-on-Trent, R&D supported by Without Walls.
