Arthur Miller’s tragic masterpiece comes to a dramatic Thameside location in the UK première of acclaimed Belgian company De Roovers’ adaptation, in a new English translation. A story of dock workers and illegal migrants in search of the American dream is given new resonance against the backdrop of the 21st century London riverscape.

Sunday 25 June - road closure in central Greenwich


We are delighted to be filling the roads of central Greenwich with outdoor performance. To safely facilitate this, the following roads are closed to traffic between 6am and midnight on Sunday 25 June:

a) College Approach, King William Walk (between Nelson Road and Cutty Sark Gardens) and Greenwich Church Street (between Creek Road and Cutty Sark Gardens) will be closed to traffic.

b) Nelson Road will be two way

c) The one-way working in Greenwich Church Street between Creek Road and Nelson Road will be reversed.

d) All westbound traffic in Nelson Road will turn left into Greenwich Church Street and be diverted via Greenwich High Road and Norman Road.

e) Creek Road will be one-way eastbound from Norman Road to Greenwich Church Street.

f) Greenwich High Road will be one-way southwest bound between Stockwell Street and Greenwich South Street.

g) All vehicles travelling north in Stockwell Street, Royal Hill and Greenwich South Street must turn left on reaching Greenwich High Road.

We’re taking to the traffic-free roads of Greenwich Town Centre for the absolutely fabulous Out In The Streets – GDIF’s very own Pride programme marking the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales. Create your ideal partner in sock-puppet form with Puppet Paramour, submit to the planet's most outlandish hair stylists in the happiness-inducing OSADIA, and share your memories of London's lost gay pubs with Ida Barr. The London Gay Big Band raise the tempo later on, getting you all dancing in the streets and, if that doesn’t lift your spirits, we guarantee the Strong Lady will. Literally.
