GDIF2012 Highlights

GDIF2012 saw a host of new, spectacular, surprising, beautiful and challenging performances in Greenwich Town Centre, Greenwich Peninsula, Roman Road, Canary Wharf and Woolwich.

From the giant puppet of Prometheus that spectacularly awakened in the grounds of the National Maritime Museum on the opening night, the many quirky, unusual and site-specific theatre and acrobatic shows of Greenwich Fair, a stunning choreography of cars and dancers against the nighttime background of the Isle of Dogs and the O2 Arena, some very curious, massive insects that inspected the residents of Roman Road, lots of new contemporary dance between the highrisers of Canary Wharf, and the big finale in Woolwich, a French dreamship that released beautifully dressed stilt walkers and aerialists onto the streets finishing with a fantastic and unforgettable foam party on Beresford Square.
