GDIF2013 Photo Contest – winners announced!

For the first time this year GDIF ran an official photography competition for the 2013 Festival. We teamed up with award.io who have done a fantastic job promoting and managing the photo contest on our behalf. We had over 130 submissions! Click here to check out all the great entries and impressions visitors took at GDIF2013.

Award.io has invited experienced judges to sit on the panel:

‘I was bowled over by the standard of many of the entries, and these were hard choices to make. All entrants should be commended on their professionalism, originality and breadth of interest’.
Celia Jackson, Senior Lecturer, Photography University of South Wales, www.newport.ac.uk/staff/ac/Pages/CeliaJackson.aspx

‘This contest was left open to interpretation, resulting in a very wide variety of imaginative images and a high standard of entries to choose from. Congratulations to all’.
Linda Wisdom, street photographer, www.lindawisdomphotography.co.uk/

and as a rep from the GDIF Team:

“Totally impressive! Such great eye, wit and quality. It’s amazing to see what elements of the performances the audience is especially captured by.”
