Vivaldi, Botticelli, Van Gogh. Some of the world’s greatest artists have been inspired by the seasons. In a pioneering new collaboration between musicians and pyrotechnicians, an awesome elemental experience of passing time and seasonal change has been created. From the howling gales of winter, to the burst of new life in spring, this stunning new show will take you into the eye of a storm whilst providing a ravishing glimpse of nature re-imagined through dazzling fire and fireworks.

Full Circle is an IN SITU show.  IN SITU, European network for artistic creation in public areas, has been financed with the support of the European Commission (Culture 2000 programme)

Full Circle - Artists

The World Famous are internationally acclaimed for their theatrical use of fire and pyrotechnics. Their ambitious fireshow Crackers was presented at the Sydney Festival in 2007, whilst Sticky, their collaboration with Improbable Theatre, has toured nationally and across the world. They are well established GDIF favourites with spectacular productions such as Renaissance (with Motionhouse Dance Theatre) in 2005 and Burning Bright (with Kinetika) in 2006 wowing audiences. Their eagerly awaited return to Bow brings a thrilling new show which has been created through an innovative collaborative approach.

Terrafolk make music that defies categorisation, borrowing from folk and classical traditions, embracing pop and rock, and injecting passion and humour. They collaborate with many other musicians, including ongoing projects with orchestras from across Europe, and are passionate about presenting their music in new ways and to new audiences.

The creative team includes Aswarm, who were seen at last year’s GDIF with their intriguing installation Gather and Maria Hingerty, formerly of the legendary Irish company Theatre of Fire.

The Festival is delighted to be presenting the London premiere of this new show at Mile End Park, an innovative urban park landscape which creatively expresses ecological themes in the heart of the city.
