Festival Team

GDF is delighted to announce the appointment of Michelle Walker to the newly created role of Executive Director. Michelle joins the team from Winchester’s Hat Fair - the UK's longest running festival of outdoor arts. Prior to this she has worked for some of Britain’s top theatres and theatre companies including the Oxford Playhouse, Shared Experience, Foursight Theatre and Bristol Old Vic. Michelle will join GDF’s dedicated team at its offices at the Borough Hall in March 2017, working closely alongside Artistic Director Bradley Hemmings on the delivery of Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, which this year will take place between Friday 23 June and Saturday 8 July, amongst other projects.

"I'm delighted to be joining the team at GDF, with its ground-breaking artistic programme, its commitment to supporting the work of diverse artists, and its passion for transforming communities. I'm very excited to be a part of the organisation's next chapter and look forward to working alongside GDF's many local and national partners over the coming years."
